ahem
So in true Southern style, we dumped out our rubbermaid that was holding our wrapping paper and TA DA!...we had a sled.
I sound like a complete redneck, don't I? Don't worry, I'm not. But I do sometimes like to use the word ya'll. It just kind of comes out. I can't help it. And sometimes I like to eat boiled peanuts. Don't hate 'em until you've tried them.
Anyway, enough babbling and onto some photos:
Some random lady walking down the street asked if we wanted our picture taken. It's a rare treat to have both Andrew and me in a picture together.
View from our dining room. You would have thought we lived at a ski resort. People were snowboarding and sledding down the hill in front of our house. It was so much fun to watch!
Ella loved the snow. This was her 465th snow angel. The girl would have slept out there if we had let her.
Yes, I totally threw a snowball in her face. She thought it was hysterical. Don't worry...she got me back!
And I'm working on my photography post. It's going to be simple and user friendly tricks that you can use no matter what type of camera you have. I am really still a beginner (maybe novice?), but I'll share some things I've learned that are easy and will make a HUGE difference in your pictures! I'll also link to some of my favorite locals so you can see where I draw some of my inspiration from!

Photography post?! I'm so excited! We got snow here in South Carolina, too, which is a rarety. We didn't pull out any homemade sleds, but we slid down the slide that was packed with snow...does that count?
There is absolutely nothing redneck about the word ya'll, right? Ya'll look like you had so much fun in the snow!
I love the snow angel pic! And she took a snowball in the face with laughter...I'm completely impressed!
I cannot wait for your photography post! I wouldn't consider you a beginner. Your photos are amazing. Photography is a true art. I've heard people say, "Well, you are certain to get a good picture if you take a ton of pictures." Oddly enough, I've seen plenty of people take a ton of pictures with a great DSLR and their pictures are still so so. Because photography is an art and it takes an artful eye. And you have an artful eye! Definitely a God given talent!!! I'm glad you are going to share your talent with the rest of us.
Wooop woop!! I can't wait for that photography post. Thanks for taking the time to put that together!
Precious snow pics!!!
Y'all are adorable! And I like boiled peanuts, too. (I was shocked by just how much I like them...tried them for the first time only a few years ago!)
Ooh la la! Love the pics! Seems you had a wonderful day in the snow! :)
Can't wait for your photo tips! I am in desperate need of some tips!!
I share your love of the ellipse =)
And I just wanted to say that I DO grow wearing of breastfeeding and pumping while I am away...but two things have gotten me through this long. 1, these might be our only babies (it took us a lot to get here) and I know I will miss it when it's over. 2. I have a plan to go away for a night ALL BY MYSELF once the twins are weaned and old enough for me to feel comfortable leaving them (so they may be 36 by then). A time away where I can relax and not be needed for HOURS =). It gets me through the hard times - ha!
Plus the older they get, the faster our nursing sessions go, and I will NOT complain about nursing 712 times a day as long as they keep sleeping so long at night!!
Hi! Thanks for commenting on my blog- I've only read a few entries of yours and love it already. Cant wait to see your photography post!
Hi Sarah,
LOVE the snow pictures--how beautiful! We don't have any snow here in St. Louis. I'm beginning to think I need to move to the south :)
I saw your comment on Kendra's (Miracle of the Moment) post, and wanted to encourage you. I've been breastfeeding my twin girls for 11.5 months now. It's been such a huge committment--I can't wait till I can break up with the pump; seriously! BUT--I've committed to getting the girls through this cold and flu season. I figure--it's just a season of my life, and soon they'll be running around, too busy to want anything to do with me. It's precious time, but it has also been the hardest thing I've ever done! Kudos to you for making it this long. If there's anything I can do, in particular, to encourage you, let me know.
Have a blessed day!
oh my gosh!! looks like so much fun! i wish we would get that much snow:) I would love a photo post! That would be sooo much fun:)
